I’m Colleen, aka Super Biker Woman. No, I didn’t give myself that name. My friend’s 4 year old son called me Super Biker Woman (he was Super Cowboy). He’s in high school now and no longer goes by Super Cowboy, but I am still Super Biker Woman. I’ve done several solo bike tours as well as some that have started out with a friend, but ended solo (nothing nefarious, I just have more time). Last summer I did 2 1/2 months in Europe. This summer (in fact, in 16 days) I leave for a solo ride over to McCall, Idaho to do the Idaho Hot Springs Mountain Bike Route. After finishing that, I’ll head to north central Washington for awhile, then return home to Olympia, Washington via the John Wayne Pioneer Trail from Ellensburg to the other side of the Cascades. This will be my first tour involving a large amount of off-road riding. I’ll be riding my Surly ECR named Mama Cass, pulling a BOB trailer named Johnny P. We’ll be covering around 1700 miles. It’s always a great day when I meet other solo women cyclists!
